MOL Logistics warehousing in Tilburg
Due to the central location of our warehouses, in close proximity to the multimodal barges for rail and barge, many of our customers use this environmentally friendly transport. Approximately 80% of the containers shipped from the Port of Rotterdam to the MOL Logistics warehouses are transported by train or barge. We work closely with BTT Multimodal Solutions. They operate the barges for both rail and inland shipping in Tilburg.
The supply of these barges is daily and avoids congestion from the seaport as is often the case with loading onto trucks. It is also more cost-effective compared to road transport.
Rail transport
Transport by train is an excellent alternative to transport by ship or plane. It is cheaper than air freight and faster than sea freight. According to a fixed timetable, goods trains run daily from Tilburg to destinations throughout Europe and China. The average transit time to and from China is only 14 - 19 days.
