Cheers to 100 years!

Our customers and relations already know: our company has been on the road since 1919. That means that in 2019 we will be celebrating our 100th anniversary, and that is reason enough for a party!

100 Years of Transport and Logistics

In week 19, we will celebrate this special milestone with our customers, relations, partners and colleagues at a special location. In the meantime, we have completed the guest list and are looking forward to 2 splendid festive days.

We get the question from several clients whether we have a gift suggestion. Since we support various charities, we do not ask for a present for ourselves. The charities we support during our anniversary:

Every Monday (training) and Saturday (match), boys, girls, men and women with mental disabilities enjoy a wonderful game of football. We have had three teams for years, and recently became the first team in the Netherlands to have a full ladies team in the regional competition. Let's be immodest for once: in the Netherlands vv SVG is leading in the field of G-football. 25 years of G-football is special in itself, but we will go one step further. On 24, 25 and 26 May, together with Special Olympics, we will organise the Special Olympics European 8-a-side Football Tournament. We as a club have been invited by UEFA and nominated by Special Olympics Netherlands to organize this event, of which we can be very proud as a modest club in Tilburg. During the event, about 160 athletes and 60 coaches and many volunteers will be present.
The tournament will be opened by an official ceremony, flags and the Flame of Hope on Friday 24 May. Saturday the Divisioning matches will take place and Sunday the final matches with Sunday afternoon the prize-giving ceremony and the closing and extinguishing of the Olympic flame on our complex.

A special welcome to all the countries that will be competing SPORTS with each other this weekend. We hope for a lot of FRIENDSHIP and of course a lot of FUNNESS. As coordinator of SVG G-football I would like to achieve together that adapted sports is shown in a positive light and that everyone can be proud of his or her participation. BECAUSE SPORTS IS NOT SELF-EVIDENT!

If you live with a disability or chronic illness, simple things can be a big problem. With an assistance dog, you can significantly increase your self-reliance. That is the goal of this foundation. They want to train as many assistance dogs as possible for people with a disability. There are many different assistance dogs. One dog helps with daily activities, another dog gives a warning when an epileptic seizure is imminent.

Every year, more than 550 children in the Netherlands get cancer. Currently, 75% of these children are cured. This has to be done and it can be done better. Kika's goal is to increase this percentage to 95%. The organisation raises funds for innovative research and other activities in the field of child cancer, aimed at less pain during treatment, more recovery and a higher quality of life later in life. In addition, KiKa focuses on providing information about child cancer.
