We are proud to announce that 2021 has started very well for MOL Logistics. We have obtained the ISO 13485 certificate! This international standard for medical devices fits perfectly within our logistics services. Certified manufacturers, suppliers and logistics service providers show that they meet the strict requirements of the industry.
Within the healthcare sector, the demand for partners offering high-quality logistics services is increasing. MOL Logistics has several clients active in healthcare, which we have supported with their logistics activities for many years. As a result, we already work according to a number of requirements of the ISO 13485, to the satisfaction of these clients. This motivated us to go for official certification. With support from SQA-T, we started all preparations in 2020. In November 2020, we started with a successful pre-audit, after which Bureau Veritas conducted the official certification audit in December. We have now received the official ISO 13485 certificate, which we will proudly use for the next three years.
At the same time the re-certification of ISO 9001:2015 took place, a certification which we have again achieved. A word of thanks goes to our colleagues from MOL Logistics (Netherlands) BV and of course Bureau Veritas.
With these two important quality certifications, we can serve our current and future customers even more professionally.
What is an ISO 13485 certification?
Through ISO 13485 certification, a company or organisation demonstrates that it meets the highest requirements in the field of medical devices. This applies to all certified parties in the supply chain, including manufacturers, suppliers, installers and logistics service providers such as MOL Logistics. An independent and expert certification body must issue the certificate. As with our ISO 9001 certification, we called in Bureau Veritas.
